What's the point of an emergency room if you have to wait for 2-3 hours?

Listen. You can wait for 8 or more if it isn't an emergency. Let's review how an emergency room operates. You come in. A triage nurse assesses you. Info is taken. This means you will be assigned a number to see a physician based upon your problem. You have to wait. People come in by ambulance too. They are seen first as they likely are emergencies. MIs aka heart attacks. CVAs aka strokes. Motor vehicle accidents. All manner of urgent cases. You should be grateful you are not seen promptly. It means you are not an emergency. You will be seen. Play on your phone. Read a book. People watch. Watch TV. Put on head phones. They are monitoring you. And if you suddenly worsen, you will be seen. And don't fake anything. And don't be loud and obnoxious. Won't make you be seen any faster. Any questions?
