What's the point of an emergency room if you have to wait for 2-3 hours?

I just wish that the charge nurse isn't the most cold and uncaring in the entire hospital. They don't even want to make eye contact- much less smile.

@Elizabeth28 Is this related to what I said?
@LucyRocks She isn't cold. She is experienced and likely tired and stressed. And she has to deal with more problems than just ill or injured people. She has to liase with physicians, handle staffing, handle complaints. She doesn't play on a cell or listen to music while she works. And she saves lives too. Imagine that!

@PoetryNEmotion There's no excuse for a complete lack of empathy in a front line representative.
@LucyRocks Let's see. Add a 12 hour shift plus likely more time. And a lack of breaks due to emergency admissions. Constant interruptions. Phones ringing off the wall. Constant noise. Girl, you have no clue about nursing in an ER. And all the people with minor problems. You want warm and fuzzy? Find a dog or kitten. Life and death means...You may as well go back to your cell.
