Why Couldn't I Do 50-minutes?

Today, I started a high intensity cardio workout that was 50-minutes long. Lots of jumps, jacks, etc. I've done it before to completion, although it was challenging. Today, I got to 22-minutes, and knew I was "done in," so went to the cool down. I was exhausted. Could it have anything to do with the heavy weight lifting day I did yesterday? It was only upper body, but it was intense and an hour long. Would that really have an effect on my energy level today?

What do you think?

when was the last time you completed 55 min?

@whoowho 50 minutes. I most often do HIIT workouts for cardio, and they last around 30-minutes. I did a 45-minute step workout about 2-weeks ago, and was fine. It's been a while since I did this particular 50-minute workout.

I would imagine the answer lies in your physical state 🤔 Did you sleep well? were you hydrated? DO you have seasonal allergies? Are you getting ill?

I, personally, have difficulty in the fall. I get exercise induced asthma -- which sucks my energy.

@whoowho I am sleep deprived overall, and my sinuses feel heavy. It's also humid, and no air conditioning. Maybe it's a combination of all the above plus the heavy weight training from yesterday.

@Carissimi There you go ☺. The air here is dense and heavy too. I just got done a hike and the combination of ragweed + humidity made the duration twice as long.

@whoowho That could be it. I was sweating much sooner than usual. Air density probably has (should say moisture density) an effect on performance.
