Where did all of these viruses come from?

AIDS, the Zika virus, swine flu etc. It didn't exist before. So why is it that all of a sudden it just appears? Man made viruses? I think so.

Zika was relatively rare in southern Brazil but then the government allowed the introduction of genetically engineered mosquitos to help combat the virus .. shortly thereafter the problem exploded but it had nothing to do with the mosquito experiment..
