Dietary fat is always bad for you. Not true.
Naturally occurring fats are okay for you; however, they can be high in caloric count, so you may still need to limit them.
However, it gets tricky because you cannot just look at total fat content on a food label; it matters where the fat comes from.
Highly processed foods, including fast foods, are known for high levels of trans fats, which are not healthy.
One recommendation is to skip the seed\vegtable oils and substitute them with coconut oil, butter, ghee, or olive oil for cooking.
A little fat usually goes a long way; you do not need much, but your body does need some. The recommendation is 20-35% of your daily intake.
Must be from natural sources.
