Yes. You can use many types of lamps.
I noticed the red glow through my hands in real sunshine, probably over fifty years ago, and always have had artificial lighting that shines right through my body including red, for winter. Incandescent lights were better, but they do waste energy. I have a whole lot of LEDs, now.
For me it's good if they're shining in a whole lot of wavelengths, including red.

This type of bulb!
Likely be cheaper at home Depot though.

I think it is a different wavelength of red light
Mrnotsonew · 100+, M
Don’t think you can get close enough. lol
Like the red.

I have not.

heard of it for psoriasis and arthritis, but I doubt there are any cheap commercially available lights/bulbs to provide it at the needed wavelengths (long wave, near IR)

why? you don't need it, you're still young .. idk that it does anything anyway
JPWhoo · 36-40, M
Have not heard about it.
they're usually supposed to be a very specific wavelength, so that's hard to replicate just by eye balling it.

@Neuman Oh like it's impossible or I can get close ?
@RedFlagElla I expect it'd be really difficult, but few things are impossible. I'd also guess that normal, commercially available lights might not be able to actually hit the exact wavelength.
then again, if I hadn't said anything there's a good chances you'd get some placebo effect help from it... so varying mileage.
