I dont have an oversized tongue but when i stick it out its really wide. I can roll "R"s and say lots of tongue twisters.

@Gibbon It's okay. Like I told you before I got also dyslexia. Will try to post something about how we experience written or spoken language because of it soon. I'm now 56 and it's getting really tiredsome

Do you tend to bite it a lot ? As I get older this happens more for me, perhaps things are changing inside the mouth 🤔
So I can imagine if it was always to thick, in your case and how it would worsen now that your getting on in years.

@Iknowyourouttheresomewhere Yes, I bite into the buccal mucosa. I think that it's called that. The lining of the cheeks. They removed four molars when I was little. Now only my front teeth are a bother. They'll be removed soon enough because my enamel is so very thin.

I can’t pronounce the letter ‘r’ properly. A problem which for some reason seems to particularly afflict the English upper classes and cockneys. I am neither of those but still avoid words like ‘rarity’ which risks coming out as ‘wawity’. Strangely although despite trying and practising I can’t do a standard English ‘r’, but I can do a rolled Scottish ‘r’, but ‘rrrrarrrity’ sounds just as daft. I can do a guttural French ‘r’ so I just hope that makes me sound like a sexy Frenchman.
