Physical & Mental Health

I've always thought they've gone hand in hand.

Of course, sweetie, I suffer from S.A.D and I know it's summertime here in the UK so thankfully that hasn't been an issue.

I've had recent surgery and subsequent recovery that has stopped me from doing one of my very favourite things...and that is Pole Dancing!

No...no stripper heels and grinding, sweeties! No, I don't mean used fiver's in my garter belt! No, I mean for fitness!

For a few years now, my fella had put a pole in our garage, that we don't use for our cars, and I've use that, mainly after work, as a way to blow off steam. 40-60 minutes of spinning, holding, stretching and pulling. Heck of a workout.

Just got back to a full week of it this week, after being quite tentative the week before.

...and, I feel so much more happier...alive....content...tired, but elated.

Not that I wasn't before, of course, but it's amazing what you realise when you start doing that thing you love again.

Muscle memory.

Gotta lurve it!

😘
