Speaking of pain, it was actually my dentist friend who was finally able to help narrow down the causes of my facial pain
I always had it and brushed it off as something that can be managed by managing the triggers.
It got worse some time last year. So unbearable.
It wasn't her speciality, but she wanted to solve the issue for me. I suspected it is jaw related since it shoots up my upper jaw and then to the back of my head. I even thought perhaps it is a root damage. But since I have a history of skull fractures, I also considered growth anomalies. Which was previously a contribution in other problems.
A lot of my colleagues told me it is psychological. They take one look at me and decide I look visually fine. It was frustrating. I even had to do some of the tests myself because of how often it was ignored.
Anyways, she contacted other medical professionals she knew, and I agreed to run more extensive tests related to neurology. I was right that it was related to my old injuries but not the region of the damage. Turns out to be two compressed nerves and excess tissue.
It is interesting how the brain interpretes pain atypically at times.
