Update on “terrible, horrible” from my cleaner

So I got the story. Tony’s life partner (he won’t let you call them husbands) has had a bout or two with heart trouble.

He woke Tony up from a nap, saying “ look at me.”

Tony did. He said his face was so swollen he couldn’t see features, like a big blob of dough. His neck, arms and legs were also grotesquely swollen. Tony called 911.

At one point, his love was in a ventilator. Tony prayed and cried and prayed more. The doctor told him he would have to “call it” when he thought it was time to unplug the life support. Tony prayed.

He said that when his partner got better, the nurses started calling him their Christmas miracle.

His partner is now home. Getting better. Apparently he was defiantly not taking his meds. He is now.

He was not exaggerating. It WAS horrible and terrible.

I’m glad he’s taking his medication now!
