What Your Doctor Really Thinks…

It’s a book title..have u read it?

Dr Bloomer says that there is more pressure to do what is best for the system, instead of what’s best for the patient. That was a few yrs ago…I imagine this being a lot worse today.

I haven't read it, but I have witnessed that very thing in healthcare. People are not encouraged to take responsibility for their own health. They are instead encouraged to "just take a pill" which often causes more problems than it fixes. Taking care of oneself before disease sets in, is the better, cheaper, and more successful option in the long run. Sad it's not promoted as such.

People are not encouraged to take responsibility for their own health.

Is that why doctors today do not lecture about the basics like, "Lose weight, quit smoking, eat healthy, drink water..." anymore?

@HoeBag It is monetarily more advantageous to sell long term treatment, rather than educate one time.

@LadyBronte @Wiseacre Of course back in the days when one would go to the doctor and they would just give generic advise like "Eat healthy, exercise, 8 hours of sleep, quit smoking..." they would still charge a fortune.

@HoeBag now we have the internet..no excuse for ignorance. I diagnosed my disorder and found a functional MD to help..allopaths could not.

@Wiseacre One time when my son was 13, he had MRCA or however it is spelled.

I just remember some doctor saying, "I have come to the conclusion that this is a really bad rash".

I just said, "Well I could have told you that 🤨 "

Like everything else, the medical field is mostly crooks.
