Happy with fasting benefits

Fasting can be one of the good options for maximizing energy and reducing inflammation in the body.

I don’t recommend to everyone but I’ll share my experience.

Suddenly I started to have rash on my back and sides from March, I have never had skin problems before.
I always had a great experience with GP and a dentist, they are really extra loving and helpful, but soon I found out it’s so hard to get a good dermatologist.

I tried 3 places, each time I had to wait for over 9 weeks to see them, 2 dermatologists did not know what kind of rash I was having.
They eagerly suggested biopsy tests for me but I resisted.

The last one finally said it’s more like eczema, it took me over 6 months to find out that.

So in the meantime I searched for all the information about cause of skin irritation and tried to get better with home care.

I started to take probiotics every morning and stopped eating bread.

I was on miso soup for many weeks and eat more avocado and vegetables.

I quit gluten for 6 months and tried to fast few times, longest one was for 3 days.
Now I normally have 2 days fasting in a month and I lost 10 pounds and my skin got healed completely.
I’m glad that I listened to my gut feeling and didn’t go through biopsy.

After not eating gluten, luckily I don’t have craving for it but I can eat little bits now and then.
It was a good lesson for me to think about healthy foods and lifestyle more seriously before it’s too late.

It seems more and more, gluten is a nemesis for many…
