i keep getting up through the night to urinate

what's the answer to this, it disrupts my sleep and a nuisance, because i keep having to get up and go to urinate in the toilet, i heard this happens more as you get older, plus i do drink a lot of fluids during the daytime, maybe that is what's causing it.
