When I'm sick (fever/cold), I refuse to take medicine

Any sort of medicine. I'm suffering but I feel like my body should heal itself. It deserves no mercy. It makes some part of me sad/upset but the parent in me doesn't care

I used to be like that and also with pain until I learned that pain killers not only block pain but also reduce inflammation. Now I don't hesitate to take one if I believe that it could help with that part.
