Arthritis pain

Has anyone had a severe arthritis flare up come out of nowhere? Two months ago I woke up and couldn’t walk. I’ve been to the doctor, had cortisone shots, physical therapy and some prescription meds that didn’t do anything. It wasn’t a narcotic. I asked for something stronger and was told no. Is this my new “normal”? Any tips or suggestions would be most appreciated. I’m 69.

You can try Frankincense oil. It is not a miracle but using it topically can often help relieve some types pain. BUT, if you are taking certain types of medications such as blood thinners, there might be interactions, so check with your doctor. This can be purchased pretty inexpensively in roller ball applicators with carrier oils already mixed for ease of use. If it does help, and you are able to get up and around again, gentle movement everyday is the best answer with certain types if arthritis. Also, please, please have your Vitamin D levels checked! A deficiency can cause debilitating bone and joint pain, especially in hips, that makes it difficult to stand a walk around. Lastly, and I know it sounds cliché, but if you haven't already, clean up your diet. Get rid of the processed foods, the preservatives and additives, and any other foods known to cause inflammation. There are also supplements that might help such as Omega 3s fish oil, that you might check into. Good luck to you, I really hope you find an answer.
