Arthritis pain

Has anyone had a severe arthritis flare up come out of nowhere? Two months ago I woke up and couldn’t walk. I’ve been to the doctor, had cortisone shots, physical therapy and some prescription meds that didn’t do anything. It wasn’t a narcotic. I asked for something stronger and was told no. Is this my new “normal”? Any tips or suggestions would be most appreciated. I’m 69.

@Rambler no, it has been hot here in North Carolina. We have had a lot of rain. The X-rays showed I have osteoarthritis in 3 different areas, with bone spurs. I am not bone on bone yet. This morning I just moved my knee and the pain was so excruciating I literally hollered out loud. I live by myself, so it didn’t scare anyone 😊

@Mbingh01 Rain, humidity, changes in barometric pressure can affect the joints. I have troublesome knees, but not as bad as that... I just groan but don't holler. Physical therapy has helped some.
