RFK Jr. is single-handedly setting back healthcare 40 years in the US

RFK is turning out to be at least as bad as I imagined he would be, being in charge of HHS. The other day, he got rid of all of the well-respected scientists on the vaccine advisory panel. This is a really dangerous move on his part, and I believe will come back to bite us in the ass down the road.

They were all in it for the money.

@Confined these were respected scientists who dedicated their entire adult lives to legitimate medical research. Who are you going to replace them with? Some yokel who has “done his own research” on the internet in his basement? There are billions of lives at stake here, and you want Billy Joe Jim Bob who has a year and a half of community college, who studies immunology in his spare time, on his days off from the muffler shop making public health decisions? Absurd.

@RockerDad Follow the money. They are like career politicians. They will produce what ever results their handlers tell them to. They all wanted MRNA shots to infants and all school children. That has proven beyound all shadow of a doubt to be deadly.

@Confined I have yet to see anyone die from an MRNA shot, but I have seen plenty of people die from Covid. I will say, that in my experience, even in worst times of the pandemic, we had literally no babies in our NICU get Covid, even after being exposed to parents and nurses who had it. I don’t have a good explanation why. I saw some children who got it, and most of them did ok. We did have some cases of something called MIS-C, which was a severe inflammatory syndrome that occurred after a mild case of Covid. For the most part, though, pediatric patients did ok with Covid, for some reason, while at the same time, adult patients were dying of it left and right. All of that said, however, I believe that a great many lives were saved by the vaccine, at least until the virus morphed into a variant that was more resistant to the vaccine.

@RockerDad I have never never seen any one die of covid or even the flu. Covid does not exist..

@Confined I’ve been a respiratory therapist for 35 years, and I worked in our ICU during the pandemic. I can assure you Covid very much exists, i watched many, many patients die from it, including a close friend of mine. At the peak of the pandemic, Covid was the third highest cause of death in the US, behind heart attacks and cancer. Your absurd assertion dishonors the memory of those who died from Covid, as well as the work we did for three years to save as many as we could.
