SLEEEEEP!!! Longer title.

Okay I'm all off kilter. I called it a night at 3am which is my routine. The problem is I haven't slept a wink since and it's about 9:15am and I'm wide awake. My ginger cat is walking all over me like this isn't normal. I know I'm going to crash in the middle of the day and screw up my normal sleep cycle even more. Folks I've been doing this for 2 years before Vickie passed. Four years total. This is OUR routine. I have an annual Medicare health evaluation at my doctor's Wednesday which I've managed to put off for two years. They are going to start dropping patients who don't do it because of Medicare requirements.
I need to get it together before then so I can be rested when I go in.
HELP I'M IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE.

Sleeping pills help. Day before the appointment choose the time you want to sleep, perhaps fairly early so you can be prepared for the next day. Try to take 20mg worth of melatonin, with a sleep aid such as NyQuil.

Upon waking up the next day, caffeinate yourself and eat breakfast so you can wake up from all the groggy side effects.

Then you won’t have to worry about taking pills again until another impromptu appointment.

@AuRevoir Thanks but NyQuil and melatonin as well as benadryl have zero affect on me. My body has become resistant to so many drugs over the years it's easier to mention something that doesn't work rather than something that does.

@Thrust Prescription required. Not going to happen between now and then plus I don't usually need something to help me fall asleep. I'm just one of those who takes longer than some to get there.
