What is reiki? Is that something everyone should know, but don't
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that involves channeling universal life force energy into a person’s body to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance the body’s natural healing abilities. It can also balance your chakras. When I perform Reiki, I place my hands just above the client’s body as a conduit for the reiki energy to flow. The energy is travels to areas of the body that need healing and balance. People feel deeply relaxed (and most fall asleep when I do it), refreshed, and rejuvenated after a session.
I have given a couple of workshops at my local hospital about it as the Staff have been trying to integrate Reiki into the hospitals to give it to patients as it helps with healing and needed someone to come talk about it

That stuff is some bad ass stuff right there
I'm sure you're going to be Grrrrreat as Tony The Tiger would say

@HumanEarth the first time I had it, I had really bad sciatica pain and I was taking about eight Tylenol’s every night just to get a good night sleep. I had my first session and I have never had a sciatica pain since. so after that, I decided I need to learn how to do it.
definitely should get someone to give you a session in person. Sometimes I give group sessions to members here, but it’s you know by distance it’s not the same as getting an in person session done so if you ever want me to add you to my list of people, I send Reiki to a few people here a couple of times a month. If you want to be included to let me know and I will include you

I'll look into it and see what I can find out locally first and get back to you
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@HumanEarth it could possibly help with that. Find a good practitioner that you can go to in person.

I will look into this

@HumanEarth you have to show your certification and lineage here to join
The lineage is what connects you to the original practitioner that spread it worldwide

Closest to me is 350 miles away

@HumanEarth oh wow!
OK, so maybe there are some in your area that are just not registered or just don’t renew their membership because you do have to pay a few hundred dollars every year to be on that website
So what I would do is Google Reiki practitioners in your area and then just message them and tell them that you are interested in getting a session and ask what their training was and their lineage. I can’t see any Reiki practitioner not being OK with providing that information.

I'll do all that
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@HumanEarth if you get a message back and they tell you what their training and lineage is, send me a message and I’ll look it up to make sure it’s legit
