Seek medical help, sometimes elevated blood pressure is linked to underlying conditions, I know of someone who had high BP, after further testing they found out they were diabetic and had high cholesterol, once they were put on the proper medications for diabetes and cholesterol the blood pressure normalised. Rather be safe and find out what is causing the spike.
