How often do you take apart your fans to clean them?

I guess once a year...when they start acting up I disassemble them and give them a good cleaning and put a little oil where needed to make them run smoothly - it's oddly satisfying...

@fun4us2b do you get a lot of buildup after a year? I notice the buildup at like 3 months, and I’ve got an air purifier going a couple feet from the fan

@itsok I don't use it in the hotter months because AC - so yes probably 3 months of use warrants a cleaning.

@fun4us2b that makes sense. my fan is on constantly unless I’m on vacation

@itsok I prefer a Fan over AC but it is way too humid during most of July and August here...
