USA doesn't make the Top 50 for life expectancy

According to a study, the top reasons include:

• smoking
• obesity
• violence
• poverty
• Automobile Accidents
• Access to healthcare.

Though the over arching reason appears to be "The failure to prevent poor health is a factor that is contributing..."

i am guessing the thousands and thousands crossing the border dont know that, either that, or they just dont care.

@MayorOfCrushtown It is weird how you are connecting life expectancy to immigration LOL. I could immigrate to the US but eat healthy, exercise, and not smoke. If anything, those "crossing the borders" are likely to have a better life expectancy than those born and raised in the US, because they come from a different culture that might promote a healthier diet and lifestyle. You do realise that it is you who determines your life expectancy based on your own personal chocies, and not your mere geographical location, don't you?
@BittersweetPotato what i am saying is that if we are so bad here, why doesnt it stop thousands from trying to come here. maybe we should warn them about our low life expectancy. LOL we should put signs up on the border warning them about our low life expectancy. LOL

@MayorOfCrushtown Again, life expectancy is not connected to the US geographical location, so I am not sure why you think this would be a factor to stop people from immigrating to the US?
@BittersweetPotato would you leave the US for a location that has a life expectancy of 47 ??
@MayorOfCrushtown what I find interesting is that this does not at all shock you or motivate you to change it, but that your first thought it how to weaponize bad living conditions.
@NerdyPotato those reasons listed are all easily improved too. What happened to American Exceptionalism?
@NerdyPotato all you have to do is look at my profile or talk to me for ten minutes to realize that i am somewhat of a fitness nut. i exercise every day and eat right (most of the time LOL), dont smoke and rarely ever drink. i can only control myself and my own life. if others want to slowly kill themselves with a poor diet or sitting around doing nothing, thats on them.
@JonLosAngeles66 not much. That never existed 😅 The only thing the USA is exceptional in is their army.
@JonLosAngeles66 i do agree with you on that....... we should all live a healthy lifestyle. some are not up for that challenge though. and their poor lifestyle choices are a drain on the system.
@MayorOfCrushtown
i can only control myself and my own life
That is the easiest you can do, but certainly not the only thing. You can fight for healthcare, clean air and safety for everyone.
@NerdyPotato if we had kept all the money we spend on other peoples wars, we could have given everyone healthcare. we funneled half a trillion to the Ukraine. that money could have been spent on our peoples health care, schools, roads, etc.
@NerdyPotato the health situation here costs all of us. We spend more than most countries per capita on healthcare and we don't even have universal healthcare.
@MayorOfCrushtown that money stayed in the USA, but yeah... Maybe it should have been spent on healthcare and environmental protections rather than on weapons to give away.
@NerdyPotato we may actually agree on something. LOL
