At times Drs confuse Lupus with MS.
itsok · 31-35, F
@Bleak I will keep this in mind, thank you

@itsok You are welcome. Autoimmune diseases are never easy to be diagnosed. Best wishes for your niece.

they can rule out Celiac but lupus is harder, i think. hope they'll nail it down soon so she can begin to heal and feel better. i have Celiac and it caused lactose intolerance due to damaged small intestine. i'm healing, tho. i can tell you, i was very sick before it was figured out

@itsok yes, i had a horrible rash under both breasts (one side would never heal all the way) and my ears and eyelash line itched constantly. it also made me extremely fatigued. the gastrointestinal effects were off the charts; pain and cramping (esp around the pancreas and gallbladder). i wanted to die at points

@pentacorn I’m so sorry, and this sounds very similar to her. Her rash started under her breasts and she was told it was fungal/yeast so many times but none of the fungal creams or pills helped. Then when the rash spread to other places they stopped telling her it was fungal. Now it’s covering her arms and completely covering the fronts of her legs and now going in between her legs. She said the pain and itching is unbearable. She got a steroid shot for it today. And her stomach pain is really bad, even after removing her gallbladder. And she was told like two weeks ago that if it is celiac’s she can’t stop eating gluten until after the endoscopy. It feels so bad to see her so miserable

yeah, that was really hard on me too. it's as simple as not consuming gluten, but they have to check for certain types of damage and antibodies 🫤

the rash is different than a normal rash (goes several layers down and actually hurts) and nothing helps but not eating gluten. no medicine in the world can help it, i tried them all and all the natural stuff too.

my housemate told me there was a few times she wondered if i was going to make it. she said it was hard to see me constantly suffering, but i can sure tell you... i was unaware of anything but my own hell

Lol yeah my Ma too says illogical things.

In 2021 it was hot weather, we were in a queue (no more 2 mtrs applied) and my Ma said "Long queue isn't it? Bloody Corona." Like, where did Corona come into all this 🤷‍♂️

That's so terrible for your niece, I hope they can bring her some relief for her discomfort. and I know it's so hard on y'all. It's terrible seeing our loved ones suffering and we can't bring them relief.

I hope they are able to find out something soon. I know personally how frustrating the not knowing can be. 😔

My sister went through a long testing process to come to the diagnosis of lupus.
itsok · 31-35, F
@Justmeraeagain how is she doing now?

I am so sorry. I really hope they figure it out soon so she can start to recover. Auto-immune diseases are the worst and can be such a journey for an answer and diagnosis.

@iamonfire696 thank you, I hope they figure it out soon too
