It's early in the morning and I'm already confused ๐Ÿ˜•

So I know that electrolytes are essential.
I know that's the main three are sodium potassium and chloride.

I know that if you are feeling overly thirsty or dehydrated that you should reach for electrolytes.

I know that eating salty /sodium- filled foods can leave you feeling thirsty, so how does that same salt/sodium in electrolyte drinks help with dehydration? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ

Chloride: isn't that a form if chlorine, a.k.a bleach ? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ

How are we drinking bleach water? I get that it's somehow in a different form but...

So chlorinated pool water is bad for hair and skin, making it dry and brittle, but good for drinking (in its 'cousin' form) ๐Ÿšฐ? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ

I know that cucumber ๐Ÿฅ’ helps with thirst/dehydration, I've tested it, but I don't enjoy them that much.

I also know that coconut ๐Ÿฅฅ water is nature's Gatorade but I don't like that either, not without added sugar, which isn't helpful ๐Ÿ˜•

Bonus Question
Is there any electrolyte drink or electrolyte powder mix that someone can recommend that is super low on sodium? I do not believe I need added sodium in my diet.

This sounds like something you should ask your doctor about, in addition to asking here.

@Blanchy sure thing, it's literally what I woke up thinking about.
