My mum is in intensive care.

She's been in this state for a few days and it's not looking good. It's a lung infection and she has COPD. She's being kept alive by drugs and breathing machines in an induced coma. Reading between the lines if what the doctor says, it's not optimistic.

Have a relative who is 83 now and has been diagnosed with COPD since 2017, She has been bedridden at home for the past 2 years and has been hooked up on 2 concentrators alternatively going on for the past many months. Even her doctor is so shocked as to how she is still alive. Her lung x-ray has patches and infiltrates. She was on the ventilator 2 years ago in the hospital
