First time for everything .... right?

Tomorrow im getting my first mammogram ever, I turned 50yr last june and now its time. My adoptive mom passed away fro. Breast cancer when I was 15yrs, some of you know my story... im traumatized and terrified of breast cancer, and my oncologist said I have more chance than others to get one because of the type of cancer Im already in remission from... so yeah Im a nervous freak rn🤪🥺

It’s important to go for these scans especially because of the cancer you had.

My mom had cervical cancer and she was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2023 after her mammogram. She had a mastectomy on October 23, 2023 and she’s cancer free now.

I am not trying to freak you out because the chance is still low even though you had cervical cancer. Just pointing out how important Mammograms really are 🩷.
