Feeling down

I got COVID for the first time this week after being extremely careful for this long. My family traveled for a funeral, which is the first out of three times during the pandemic we have decided to travel this far - first flight. It was a meaningful trip and we also had a lot of fun, so I don’t regret going. I don’t know when I was exposed because I also visited a clinical trial office masked, worked one day this week indoors masked, and attended an outdoor concert. I took a test before seeing friends and family, which was negative. Then, I tested positive two days later. The people who came over have tested negative after me though, so I hope that stays true.
I feel so guilty for exposing my family and also sad that I caught it this month.

@LilMissAnonyMOUSE thank you, me too. I’m on day 3 of paxlovid and it seems to be helping each day
@chocolateNcheese It's a very good sign that the meds you're taking are helping. You're on the road to recovery☺️👍

@chocolateNcheese my nana said it stopped covid in 24 hours but the side effects were horrible

@Catzgano what side effects did she describe? I’m having a weird taste on my tongue and an upset stomach

@chocolateNcheese weird taste. Burning diarrhea. Stomach ache. She said it was difficult to stay on for is it 5 days? But was like too risky not to ugh

@Catzgano yes 5 days. Hard decision, but it’s the reason I’m feeling much better than yesterday, then it’s worth it to me
