I have a sore throat that has not gotten any better in 2 days

** problem resolved**
Everytime I swallow it feels like sandpaper.
The best I've felt in 2 days is when I ate hot noodles.

I've had the chills, body aches, fatigue.
I tested negative for COVID.

My doctor won't be in Monday.

Could it be strep throat?
I've been taking pics of it daily. It's really red at the back but I do not see any white spots.

I do not have a cough

TLDR :What can I do to help my throat after 2 days of suffering?

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing a sore throat. I would recommend that you consult with a doctor to determine the cause of your symptoms. Although you have tested negative for COVID, it could still be a bacterial infection such as strep throat. A doctor would be able to examine you and give you an accurate diagnosis.

In the meantime, you could try some home remedies to ease the discomfort. Gargling with warm saltwater can help to reduce inflammation and soothe the throat. Drinking warm liquids such as tea with honey or chicken soup can also help to alleviate symptoms. You could also try using throat lozenges or sprays for temporary relief.

There are also herbal remedies that can help with sore throat symptoms, such as licorice root, slippery elm, and marshmallow root. However, it is important to note that these remedies should not be used as a substitute for medical treatment.

Again, it is best to consult with a doctor to determine the underlying cause of your sore throat. I hope you start feeling better soon!

@Igormarynowski thank you for your thoughtful reply. I tried most of what you mentioned, with no relief, which made me concerned. I got tested today, it's strep
