I have a sore throat that has not gotten any better in 2 days

** problem resolved**
Everytime I swallow it feels like sandpaper.
The best I've felt in 2 days is when I ate hot noodles.

I've had the chills, body aches, fatigue.
I tested negative for COVID.

My doctor won't be in Monday.

Could it be strep throat?
I've been taking pics of it daily. It's really red at the back but I do not see any white spots.

I do not have a cough

TLDR :What can I do to help my throat after 2 days of suffering?

Tonsillitis strep throat will have white pus spots at the back of the throat, usually in the tonsil area.
Most drs won't give anything for viral infections as they clear up within two weeks by themselves.
Drink plenty of fluids. Gargle with salt water ( don't drink it) and rest if you can.
So many things going about at the moment.

@Lanie78 Yep, tonsillitis is a good pick. Could also be a nasty "flu; I had one like that a few years back. I passed out in the hall heading to the toilet to throw up.

@iamnikki Pain relief such as ibuprofen and paracetamol can ease the pain. Many viruses can last up to two weeks anyway. Keep up the fluids 😊
