Probiotics

I’m lactose intolerant, but read that I should still be able to handle yogurt because the bacteria in it. I think it’s helping with the pain. I’m not hurting or as nauseous as I was the last couple times after treatment. Maybe this makes all the difference because chemo kills all that good gut bacteria and, without them, the stomach can’t handle anything.

I have a suspicion that the brain fog people say they get when they’re going through treatment hasn’t hit me because I’ve been focused on gut health (the past few weeks anyway). Something about those little guys effects the mind. When I took probiotic pills, I dreamed more. I normally don’t dream or don’t remember my dreams. I thought it was interesting; that there might be a connection between stomach and brain.

I’ve ended up in the hospital each time after treatment so far. I’m really hoping that doesn’t happen again this time. I’m still on week 1 with 3 weeks between each round, so we’ll see how this goes. Maybe yogurt is the key.

Yogurt!

How far into your treatment are you? My wife just got through that last year.
@JimboSaturn I’m not sure. They haven’t told me how many treatments total that I’ll need. The tumor has shrunk significantly though.
I’m glad she’s beat her cancer. 🧡 That’s very heartening.

@Colonelmustardseed Good news, I hope you will feel ok through it all.

Stomach is called the second brain for a reason.

Yogurt is the best! Merchandising!!

I always think that trying anything to make things better is better than trying nothing.

Its the highest insanity to try the same thing over and over and expect different results. Got a family member that refuses to believe she is developing a gluten problem, and complains every time she eats bread.
@AceWarbringer My sister is the same way. It’s crazy the amount of pain and nausea a person is willing to put up with for certain foods.

@Colonelmustardseed too truth. A good friend of mine loves breadstuffs. I tell her she can have anything she wants, "you're just going to have to pay the price for it"

Later i ask her if it was worth it. Lol. I usually get an earful
There's a lot of interesting information regarding the link with gut health and overall health, it's great you're taking probiotics and hope you get your health back soon 🌺
@starmitzy Thank you. 🙂
