What kind of sickness was this?

When I was a teenager I was just hanging out with my brother and playing video games like normal but suddenly I got dizzy and felt sick. So I sat outside to get fresh air. I only got more and more sick and eventually started vomiting. I went into the bathroom to puke repeatedly and I had this weird sensation like my entire torso was going to explode. I can't describe it any way but this sort of "charge" from my neck down to my pelvis. I've never felt anything like it before or since.

For days afterward, I was stuck in this catch-22 where I would have to get up to vomit, but also, getting up would make me extremely dizzy which would induce even more vomiting.

I also couldn't help but walk with this weird gait that made me look like a zombie. My sister said it looked like I was going to go kill someone. I just remember being stuck in this weird position with my hands held slightly in front of me and a soulless expression on my face while I walked to the bathroom or wherever I was going.

It ended after about 5 or 6 days. But I never managed to get to the ER or figure out what was making me sick. It just went away as mysteriously as it came.

Sounds very much like vertigo, although nothing on this site is a medical opinion.

Our heads have "crystals" encased in fluid which helps us understand where we are in space. When we move our heads, sometimes one of those crystals is jarred and it'll take a maneuver or a few days for it to reposition.

In the meantime, you get to experience nausea and vomiting, a carousel-like effect of spinning, sensitivity to motion and light. If it comes back and lasts more than a week, so see a doctor or ortho guy - this is a common problem, it seems, and there are ways to relieve it.

Could be some form of positional vertigo.

@SinlessOnslaught maybe severe food poisoning? Either way it sounds terrible
