Maybe I am getting older 🤷‍♀️🥔

I have recently discovered that I have a mild blood disorder.. Doctor told me I don't need to worry over it much, but I just need to inform the doctors in case of a surgery, in order for them to take caution...

I got asked twice recently when I visited dentists clinics whether I have this disorder, but I just said no! I know why they are asking, when I saw the doctor over the blood issue, he asked me if I bleed from my teeth, but I don't. And the thing is, I actually removed my four wisdom teeth back in 2020, two at a time, the bottom two were so deep and the doctor cut into my gum, but I faced no bleeding issue. I also put the braces on, and removed my milk canines, no issue whatsoever.. At the time, I had no idea I had any blood issue, so why complicate things now.. If I tell them, they will probably become over careful with me for nothing really.. I will probably only mention it, if I were to undergo a big surgery.

I was also asked if I have any allergies and I said no, but I actually had an allergic reaction recently to some medicine which i forgot its name, and this I should have mentioned, but then it is not like they are going to give me this antibiotic.. but still I should have..

They also both, the nurse and doctor, assumed I was married (probably due to my age 🤷‍♀️) and I did not correct them 🤣 This one I think it is none of their business and it is a stupid thing on their part!

Today it hit me, it was nice when I just said no with such ease to all of these questions.. Maybe I am getting older 🤷‍♀️🥔

Don't worry about the married thing. It's traditionally respectful to assume a woman over, say, 25 is married.

Allergies don't usually develop with age, though they can. Medical allergies really don't though, so you should find out the name of that drug. It could belong to a whole family of drugs you need to avoid.

I don't know what blood disorder you have; some are congenital. Others are the result of lifestyle choices. Still others, the result of medicines. Few are related to being 30. Get a good work-up, know what your medical status is, know which meds you take and why. No one is a better advocate for you than you are.

@Graylight I don't think it is respectful or disrespectful to assume an older woman is married. Why assume to begin with, just call her Ms.

Doctor told me allergies develop all the time, something that you were not allergic to yesterday, can suddenly turn into an allergy.. well that's what the doctor told me anyway, whether it made sense or not.

Doctor told me the blood disorder is genetic in nature, so I probably had it since birth, but it is mild, which is why I only found out about it recently.

I always get myself checked up, and I do not take any meds regularly.

You are getting older, but you are still one hot potato! I think we all find out things wrong with as we get older and especially when more things go wrong.

Just got to try to figure out what's best for you :)
