Doctors and stuff

I had my breasts checked, and when the doctor came in, I was wearing the hospital gown, of course not all open since I was not being checked yet, but the front was not exactly closed either, since I was prepared for examination. I've never had anyone before who completely concentrated on my face and eyes while talking to me. I felt he was intentionally not letting a single glimpse fall anywhere else except my face, probably to not make me uncomfortable, or make me feel that he is pervy. But it was a bit awkward, as I never had that much intense eye contact with someone before lol.

I have to say, being a male doctor specialised in women health may be extra challenging, in the way they deal with patients.. but especially in a culture as mine. I mean, if I were a male doctor as such, I'd probably work in another country, because I bet not many women would agree to visit a male doctor in my society, for such matters. I was told hundreds of times while booking the appointment that it is going to be a male doctor, and even when I reached, they told me AGAIN.

I agreed to it although I did think that i may be a little awkward for me, but it was not really that weird after all.

I’m a red haired, very fair skinned guy. I recently had a checkup with a female dermatologist. I was shown to an exam room and given a paper gown, told to remove everything and put on the gown.

The Derm showed up with a female nurse and greeted me. While I was responding she reached up and basically pulled off the gown leaving me standing naked. She completed an exam going over every inch of me which I expected since there’s no purpose to a limited exam.

I’m not shy and I expect a bit of exposure in a medical appointment but the purpose of the gown escapes me since I got to keep it on in front of these two for a total of about three seconds.

@redredred Idk what was the nature of the exam, but I find it weird to have the entire gown removed. The fact that she removed it herself is inappropriate, she should have asked you to do it.

@redredred idk why it doesn't seem like a real story, more like a porn movie lol

@BittersweetPotato My porn imagination is far better and more vivid, trust me.

You did state the fact that you are a potato and that you will be requiring special attention, right?
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
@Lostpoet That goes without saying... potatoes get special treatments anyway because they are superior 🥔😚

Im glad it wasnt weird

I'd actually think a male gyno would get more work in a patriarchal society - while a lot of women would find it weird, a lot would find a male opinion more authoritative, plus a lot of husbands* may insist their wives see a male doctor, not a (automatically presumed incompetent) woman doctor.

* the shithead ones, who are all too prevalent everywhere really

ETA: if you need your breasts examined ...

@firefall No I very much disagree on husbands insisting their wife to see a male doctor. When it comes to this, competence is not even in question.. Who even cares about competence? The important thing is that no man sees her. Even the most open minded men would not be on board with it. As for women themselves, they tend to be religious and conservative themselves and so being exposed to a man is not something they'd agree with, putting aside their husband.
I have never been bothered about being examined by a female doctor.
A doctor is a doctor....gender is irrelevant
