I changed the cereals that I eat and gave up cows milk because of how much phosphorus they have in them.

I haven't been instructed to do so and I'm not on a renal diet, I just figured I should watch it where I can. Though the hospitals have had me on a heart healthy diet both times I've been admitted in the last 12 or so months.

It is recommended that healthy adults get between 800 mg and 1,250 mg of phosphorus each day. Cow's milk contains between 222-285 mg. Health risks from excess phosphorous begin at levels of 4,000 mg.

The problem I'm currently having is my kidneys are functioning at a level 3, so it might be harder for my kidneys to filter it out. @Graylight

@Spoiledbrat I wondered if there was a kidney situation. in which case, all bets are off. Do check with your health professional, though. Maintaining healthy balances of vitamins and minerals can get tricky, especially with illness. Good luck.
Thank you @Graylight
