I have a sensitive and adult question, should adults be able to get sex as a form of medical psychiatric treatment?

There are some people who may never ever experience sex. Perhaps they are severely disabled, or have some other condition that prevents them from having intimate relationships. Perhaps those unable to have sex would benefit from saying, having a monthly appointment to experience intimate time with someone. Not an escort or prostitute, but as a form of psychiatric treatment. In countries like the UK, it could even be paid for by the National Health Service there.

I really don’t like this ideal I can’t put my finger on what it is I don’t like about it but I feel like something like this could easily get abused and more people be hurt. Because I feel like the ones who this will target most would mainly be the ones who commit sexual crimes and I really don’t wanna support that. I think in order for this to work, anybody interested should go through a process of seeing a mental health specialist first and then given Psychiatric treatment for longer than 6 months. But bottom line it should be a process leading up to it instead of just walking in and be like “hey, I’m lonely and need sex, do you have anybody available”
