High blood sugar

@TrunkZ For the most part it doesn't have to be a horrible disease as long as we do what needs to be done. Most of the Women in my family died young, blind, limbless because they had no idea how to live with it. All there was was insulin and very little information beyond "don't eat sugar" but, no one talked about bread. Bread is life in Italian families.

LOL, you are preaching to the choir. I'm from an Italian family too. There is nothing better than fresh bread from your favorite Italian bakery...and don't get me started on pasta 😏😏

@TrunkZ Often that bread from the bakery was still warm so about half of the loaf was gone by the time you got home. There was always a loaf to rip a piece off of to dunk in the big pot of sauce cooking. Don't get ME started on Pasta! I am addicted to it.🥖

@fernie2 hahaha yes!!!! You had to get a second loaf because one did not survive the car ride. Yum. I miss that Italian home cooking.

The problem with going to the bakery was.... the pastries. If they got the cannoli cream right then I would be a fan for life. 😋😋
