I'm feeling depressed...

I have been in depression for a long long time. My mother committed suicide. I have extreme ocd and a disorder that makes me self harm the face. They diagnosed me with severe Dermatillomania. I have been to many therapy's and the last one I went to looked me in the face and said We don't know how to help you. I walked out crying my eyes out. I came back the next week and he told me he was being promoted. Might as well give up asking for help. No one cares.

That's sad, but when you feel like no one cares, you need to understand that you have to fight.
It's obviously an OCD trigger, so try and find a therapist who specializes in treating obsessive compulsive disorder. They can help you come up with a plan to remain safe when you're gripped by the compulsory behavior that drives you to do this.
Don't give up, because you're worth it, Em.

I can't believe they said that to you! It's so un therapeutic and unnecessary!!

What's the plan moving forward?

@Doomflower I'm not sure. I want to be better. But it's literally a war inside my head.

We've talked about this before. 🤔😔🤗🤗
They don't know how to help you because they've never broke through the ice of your depression, you're
Dermatillomania is merely a coping mechanism for what's going on deep inside. There's a reason. Find the reason, then work on behavior modification. Therapy usually is a mix bag of people who think they know what's wrong with you. Key word, "think. "
You'll find a therapist soon I hope, one whom you "click " with and you'll be like...
"God, where have you been all my life? "

I've no idea if you've tried any of the on-line resources? It might be helpful to you to join an OCD specific site in order to find out what has genuinely helped other people to get this under control.

I'm not suggesting you use the paid for services but most have free forums you can access that might be helpful to you.

I used to self-harm, but thankfully grew of of it by my late 20s. And, speaking as an artist, if the photos of you are really you, then it would be a true shame to harm that face. Hang in there and don't give up.

There are people who care. From what I've seen you are not only beautiful but a beautiful person. I've seen alot of people try to help lift up on here. Never give up on yourself.
I read that Dermatillomania can be triggered by negative emotions such as anxiety or depression.

Maybe try going to somewhere like MD Anderson or Baylor college of Medicine, those are in TX, but you clearly need a specialist at a major medical facility who might be able to help.
