What's the best tranquillizer to use to stop a panic attack?

I will be seeing my primary care physician in a few days and will be discussing this with him. But I'd like to know what's worked best for others with my problem (anxiety and very occasional, but really intense, panic attacks). Any ideas? I also see a psychiatrist but my next appointment is weeks away.

Unfortunately, the meds are different for everyone and sometimes take a combination to help. I’m glad you’re going to talk with your doctor about it and it may help to call your psych with your concern even though you don’t have an appointment.

I take Buspirone but I also take two antidepressants. The combination helps me.
