I suffer from sleep apnea.
I had to go through a night connected to a sleep monitor.
For the past year and a half I have been sleeping with a CPAP mask on my face.

I hope I don't have to do that. I'd have trouble sleeping knowing that people are able to look in on me, or that I'm being tape recorded. Plus, if I wasn't dressed as I usually am for sleep, and in a dark room.

@megrose that would be tough, lol. I normally sleep in nothing, but can get away with cotton shorts when necessary. But I never wear a shirt because it gets tangled in the sheets (or at least I feel it does), so I'd not likely fall asleep and would ruin the study. That and the people watching the study, that is. 🤣

I haven’t ever been in a sleep study but I always wondered how the study could be an accurate reflection of sleep wired up like Frankenstein waiting for the lightening bolt….

I was supposed to take the sleep test once but couldn't as all machines were occupied...

With the initial one the wires were all over the place to where I could hardly move and were very uncomfortable. I was amazed that I even fell asleep. The second one, the tech’s bundled the wires together and it was much more comfortable and easier to fall asleep, a world of difference.

I've never been a good sleeper since a child. Insomnia, sleepwalking, night terrors, the lot. Just who I am, I guess. 🤷

I had to do an at home study with a machine. Turns out I have insomnia. Didn’t need a test to tell me that.
