Is it bad that I go through red lights?

When I'm on one of those stupid roads designed to make you hit every one, granted that I've stopped, looked all ways, everything is clear and visible, and I proceed slowly; I go through red lights. I'm just not willing to arbitrarily stop every 90 seconds because the government tells me to, with no oncoming hazards.

I check for pedestrians, too.
