@Soossie You're an Islamic modernist if you're a Muslim, and I have a very hard time believing you live in Iran. Unless you are extremely wealthy and somehow above the law. I've never had a problem with Islamic modernism. I've said that many times. It's just that the fundamentalist make life very hard for Islamic modernists in Islamic states and even in many non Islamic states.

Why did you have to turn a friendly comment from a friend to a bitter sad conversation?? My heart feels heavy now...

we, in Iran live like everyone else in their countries......law might enforce some regulations which are not welcomed by people, but government is not so hard and strict on forcing them ...

I'm sure everywhere there are people who are not happy about their laws and regulations...I wish you would at least do some research on how people live in Iran before you call me above law... nope.... I am an ordinary woman living in Iran who has to go to work every day to make a living... I wish you read about Iranian successful women, before you said that to me....

Unless you are all about ideology, I welcome your friendship, because you chose my friendship knowing that I was a Muslim... and all that changed after the US last election...

I love my friends to be open minded and open hearted.... I welcome anyone's friendship if me being a Muslim does not block their mind and heart in our friendship.

Your adding machine is broken. Sometimes things are what they seem, Soossie is such a case. Unless you are aware of something I don't know, you are casting aside a worthwhile friend because of an unwarranted and unsupported ignorant generalization. Which reflects very poorly on you. It's your loss, not Soossie's. You don't deserve her as a friend.

Don't bother responding. Your credibility is nil, your critical thinking skills are sub-par, and you are prejudiced against all Muslims because of a book written ages ago and only practiced by a small number of radicals. In sum, you are really dumb, and Soossie is better off being rid of you. You are worthless as a friend.

@RandomUniverse Soosie has always been a wonderful friend and a lovely person. Perhaps I don't.
I just have a hard time with the fact that someone so completely western in style claims to be living in a country where too much hair being exposed can ruin a woman's day.

@puck61 Perhaps it is best to base our friendships on how we are treated and how the individual treats others, the rest is of little importance especially in a forum such as this.

It's impossible to unsay what has been said, but apologies have been made and understandings have been reached and there is more than enough strife to go around so. I'll just be thankful that my apology was accepted and back away as gracefully as I can.

@Peaches So, can I relate...as I was targeted by an owner of a website and by many trolls on EP...I have my haters here as well.
What I posted was an opinion and had nothing to do with blocking.
Anyone active on a site will generate people who do not like them, most thank god, are mature enough to just ignore you as you ignore them, but others have to go out of their way to make the hate known.
It is unfortunate, but it happens to many of us.
I am glad everyone has reconciled I like my friends to be at peace with each other if possible.
