What is wisdom?

When are you wise? I personally know a lot of facts but that doesn't make me wise. I experenced pain in life and it made me wiser. But what is wisdom itself?

Wisdom is knowing when to shut up and when to speak up. Haha that sounds trite but is true I tells you.
