Mute Vs. Block

There was questions about how can I not see posts but still be in contact with people so this where if you want to get the messages but you don't want to see the posts in the feed you can mute them. If you don't want any contact from them you can block them. You have the same number of mutes as you have of blocks.

Muting users will prevent their posts from appearing to you, unless you visit their profiles.
Muting does not disable comments or private messages.

Blocking users will prevent them from messaging and adding/following you.
You will not be able to see posts from these users.

Let's say your not VIP you have 500 blocks & 500 mutes. If you are VIP you have 5,000 blocks & 5,000 mutes.

Blocking an account is sometimes of no use.
The blocked person if becomes aware and is really bad, will harass them with a different account.
I don't think any website has ever tried this, but is it possible to add a feature where people can block an ip address?

@MationalSocialist: From the sites TOS

Registration and Account Security
You will not replace your account with another one in order to be able to contact people who blocked you on your previous accounts.
Safety
You will not bully, intimidate or harass any user.

As for the IP address there is no way to do this because IP addresses change all the time.
