This guy literally could not accept the fact that some people dislike California. he told me that I was a white, conservative who lived in a small town and that I needed to get out more. Unfortunately for him, none of those things are true. When I told him I was a non-white, immigrant who's low-income and not conservative he went on a tirade about how the only reason I disliked it is because I can't afford to live there. This also started because I jokingly typed "California sucks". Some people...😂

It seems he wants you to expand your horizens, and question all you've been taught up until now. Both valuable lessons... i didnt read the whole post, but I didn't get that from the snippet you posted above.
California is an amazing state, albeit over crowded and expensive, but everyone should come at least once in their life. Its worth the journey!

@rottenrobi: If he said it like that I would've accepted him with open arms, but that's not how he said it and that's not all that he said. He has an insane superiority complex. Honestly, I'd love to go to California one day, although I don't really like the atmosphere (I'm judging this based on how people changed when they went there and came back). It's not my ideal political/social climate, but I might just go there one day to check the place out. 😊 It all started out with a joke anyway...one that he took far too seriously.

I agree completely! he seemed to get off topic! I would never tell someone to come to California based on our politics, I understand how we're in a weird bubble, but the beauty of the state is amazing! I would also never suggest going to LA. Stick to the north, imho, we're the better half!

One more thing, I'm sure every state has a few Lindsay Lohan's amongst their poulation. Lol. She doesnt represent anything about Calif. Seems more appropriate for her to represent the failings of rehab.
