Reasons for trolling

They are more intelligent than the rest of us and by making stupid posts they are making fun of us by extension.

They are dumber than us and that's it.

They have been here too long on another profile. They have had every conversation and read every post twice. Now they are just disgusted with us and get perverse satisfaction out of messing with people. (I'm almost here myself)

They are terrorist sleeper cells communicating in code.

@Quoththeraven: They are actually children age 12 or so, and their intelligence only goes as far as trying to harass and bully people, because the are being bullied in RL. They may be adults who have a very lonely life and they get their kicks by doing the same as stated above. Their IQ is far below normal standards and they are not capable of carring on any intelligent conversation.

I asked the bare chest boy if he was a terrorist. He didn't reply.

I believe the cases you mentioned account for about 90% of all trolling.
