Whatever The giver feels is comfortable for them is fine with me.
SpectralMourning · 46-50, M
Public. Private should only be reserved for the most extremely intimate of SW gifts.
SpectralMourning · 46-50, M
@itsok thank you for those gifts that explored the depths of our shared intimacy.
itsok · 31-35, F
@SpectralMourning I’m writing the admins to see if we can get a crusty baguette added to the gift shop.
SpectralMourning · 46-50, M
@itsok That’s a quality idea. I hear those can give a really deep pore cleanse.
PatientlyWaiting25 · 46-50, F
It doesn't matter to me either way xx
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
Depends on who and why. Any gift is a sign of a kind thought and some people prefer their giving to be in private, especially if accompanied by a private message.
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
I get private gifts for a multitude of reasons. Most I feel are given in that manner because there’s a lot of sentiment behind it that follows the conversations held in private, which is more than fine.

But there are those that I feel are given privately because they don’t want to upset the females they have a certain connection with, possibly hurting their chances at having a good time here. Those gifts I tend to roll my eyes at and wish I could make them public.

No gifts yet but I am not above begging. 😆

a gift is a gift :) I usually don't receive any private gift that makes me feel uncomfortable so, so far so good <3

I don't have such friendship(even in offline life) with anyone whom I need to send private gifts.
MellyMel22 · F
I think most private are shady, but not all 😬
I prefer them usually to be public, usually when people send them privately it makes me wonder why they don't want others to know they're friendly with me.

Some of the private ones i know exactly why they're that way and it's bc the things said are...delicate or just between us.
OverTheHill · 61-69, M
Doesn't matter. It's up to the gift giver.
It doesn’t really matter to me. When it’s private, all that posters don’t see is the sender. They still see the gift itself—and the accompanying message.

people with private gifts are being shady imo
When sending a gift to other members here, I do not include anything vulgar or related to sex, so there is no need to send it privately.

When accepting a gift, it does not matter whether it is personal or private.

However, I prefer public gifts.

There is an option to make a public gift private, but not the other way around.
Preferably public, specially when they are not close friends where you have ongoing conversations and private jokes.

When someone sends private gifts, you wonder what they’re hiding, or who they’re hiding from.
MrSmartyPants · 46-50, M
The use of private is to be done out of deference, there's situations where this may be handy, let's say the recipient is friends with someone whom the giver is sworn enemies with and would jeopardize the recipient's continual enjoyment of said friendship if gift was known to be from such a one. And the like, otherwise, Public makes most sense!!
Zonuss · 46-50, M
It depends on the person.
Both are better than pubic gifts ... well, from the wrong people, I mean.
ronisme1 · 70-79, M
Makes no difference
Musicman · 61-69, M
I have never thought about it. It doesn't really matter to me.
