Next time you go to get Gas, or Petrol like "those people" say, look at the advertisement on the window. I can guarantee that the type of advertising displayed, is a sign of the affluence or shittyness of the neighborhood. Also a sign of how desperate for survival the business is.
Low income neighborhood Gas station windows are full of adds for cigarettes, lottery, alcohol, chicken wings, kraton, sodas, you name it, anything vice would be on those windows high on display.
You can almost establish a relation between the kind of advertising and how close to be dead the business is.

Well when the government strictly limited the amount of a certain cold remedies such as Sudafed these type of convenience store gas stations had to start working extra hard to make up for that loss. I heard one man who was a customer at a business where I worked brag about how many cases they used to sell every week and they knew exactly what they were being used for…meth production. They made thousands of dollars every month just selling those cases of Sudafed and other brands. And notice how many of these gas stations are foreign-owned? This man was from Bangladesh and said all of the men he knew that owned gas station-convenience stores in this area were doing the same till it got outlawed.
@cherokeepatti I'm not sure what point are you trying to make with the foreign thing, but I'm sure that regardless of who owned them, they were all making money the same way. Thank you for your comment. I didn't know that amounted to such a big part of their income!!!
@CurrentName I heard this first hand from him. And not a shred of empathy for the people who get addicted or their families (children or parents who are raising their grandchildren. or the crimes that result from such addictions. It’s destroying society.
@Pitchblue yeah . They call it Gas Station Heroin But it depends on which kind and concentration you get. Im recovering from a broken leg and it helps with the pain.

@candycane Well, the algorithm is not a thing that comes out during the Full Moon and takes away unruly members. I mean people code that algorithm. And those things you mention are the last gasps of a dying fish. Don't you think so?
