A scary thought about those "pervs" that SW women complain or joke about.
There is always the perpetual question, "Why don't they just go to a porn or fetish site? Why are they so active here? After all, this is not a porn site."
There are several explanations, I suppose. I always chalked it up to the erroneous thinking, "C'mon, everyone does this, don't they?" But one other possibility just occurred to me, and it is very disquieting.
When someone is convicted of a sex offense, and he is either on probation or parole, strict conditions are placed on the offender's behavior , and violation of the terms of probation or parole can land him in prison.
Often, the offender's electronic devices are monitored. If he is caught going to the wrong kind of website, that's it. He's done.
Perhaps SW, precisely because it is not a porn site, flies under the radar. Maybe those guys come to sites like this because they can't go the sites they would really like to go to.
I am not going to claim that this is the explanation for every one, or even a majority, of the problematic experiences that upset women here. But it might be the explanation for some of them.
Which would mean that some of these guys are dangerous characters.
