There's not really a suspension on this site. You are given warnings on your profile(s), yet after so many warnings you are simply banned.
You'll always know a banned user just by this icon for a profile picture:
Now bans can be resolved through email contact with the admin, unless it's a permanent ban.

There are ways to get a suspended account back, BUT the SW Team needs to be sure you can be trusted again.

If there aren't any admins who are going to answer, I think bans can work differently. For instance, they sometimes give a countdown until the ban is in effect. In the meantime they have limited privileges to say their goodbyes and such
