SW green light

Does it ever happen that you see a contact here in SW with their green light on for a few seconds at some unearthly hour and you send them a message and then next thing you know it's off ?
As if they are automatically connected and then disconnected.

I always only log on for a couple minutes if I'm not writing a post, just to check messages and replies. I noticed that people often write to me when they see the green light turn on for a minute, so I turned it off permanently. There is nothing more annoying than people who try to chat in real time on SW, like just leave your message in my inbox ffs, I don't wanna sit around and chat about the weather all day. 😆
